    1. Aloha Anonymous, when you have cravings, use the "tap it away" method Julie teaches us. It's a non-verbal message we use to retrain our brains to push away cravings. Her right hand moves close to her face (the cravings) and then her left hand taps the right hand away (pushing away the cravings).

Usually when your cravings are the strongest is when you are close to dropping weight. This is good to remember when the cravings happens.

Think about how good you'll feel when you're on the other side of this, when you get past the cravings, you don't cave in, and you have a nice drop in your weight. It's incredibly rewarding!

People get cravings for different foods. It's not about the specific food, it's about pushing back the cravings, learning to reprogram you mind that you no longer eat those foods. Tap it away and the urges will go away.

      You can do this!

  2. Hi Theresa, I used to be on Sparkpeople. I can be found under "German Gal". It's a lot of fun and I enjoyed it. I am sure you will find lots of support there also.

  3. anonymous, TAP IT AWAY! DO NOT cave in!! They don't last long, as each time you tap it away, it really gets easier the next time.

I echo Theresa's comments, I was just at a refresher at Julie's and you just can not give in. ESPECIALLY SUGAR!!!! She said if you give in to anything sugar, it doesn't matter you will be back to her as then your body knows how much it lost and you will gain it back. Her words, not mine! She said it might be next year or in 5 years, but it will happen. It is so important to do this the right way and not vary it!!!

Keep holding on, I sometimes shout when I am tempted, NO!! Or I use the mantra, I know what that tastes like, and someday I can have some again, but not until I have completed the weight loss and the maintenance program!!!

    Good luck! Keep us posted!!!
