I am amazed!

Ok, I have to say this, I am Totally amazed at how this plan works. I mean totally amazed!!

I started on October 24th in a size 24 skirt, as of this weekend, I am fitting into size
18's! I am flabbergasted to be honest. That is just 15 weeks!! This doesn't even make sense. When I lost alot of weight with weigh watchers, it took me a year to go from a 24 to an 18, literally 1 year! and I suffered and was miserable the whole time. plus I was HUNGRY!!! AND it sure didn't take me 1 year to gain it all back!!!!!

I am also a bit overwhelmed. I feel like a celebrity. I have lost weight before and have gotten compliments and people noticing, but not like this. I can not explain, but I have never in my life received SO MANY comments and some from people who would never notice anything. I have not told anyone that I was starting another program as I failed at so many before. But now I have people calling me and emailing me and asking me all about it. This is overwhelming for someone who likes to blend into the woodwork and not be noticed.

To be able to say to someone that I am loosing weight "so effortlessly" is amazing! I have never followed anything so easy in my life!

If you are waiting for an appointment, dont give up!!! It will be so worth the wait!!!

Someone commented that I was literally melting before their eyes, you know something, I almost feel like I am! LOL

I know the feeling and it is good to share it with others. I started at a size 16 (9/26/11)and am at a size 12 and waiting to get into the size 10. I can tell I am at a plateau but that is ok. I am just glad to have all the bigger sizes out of my house. People at work keep complimenting me about the weight loss and then the larger people keep telling me it is a scam. I dont care what they think because i feel good and have a ton of energy and wear a smaller size. Oh and I also eat alot of protein whenever I feel like it and fills me up. So congratulations and i am glad we are all in this together.

  2. Wow Karen, a 12!!! That is soooo exciting!! Congrats! My plateau lasted 2 months, but I think the whole time I was still loosing. I have gotten that from some of the larger ones too. But mainly they want to know what I am doing, which I don't mind telling them about most of it. I have had a few give me a hard time saying Atkins isn't healthy, but when I tell them it isn't Atkins-well they just don't want to hear that. Those people are the ones that are not happy with themselves and don't want anyone else to be successful. There are even a few who are selling those protein shakes and are trying hard to convince me that I can't live like this the rest of my life! LOL! Like I could live on protein shakes the rest of my life!!!! GROSS!!!

Unless someone really tries this, they have no idea how easy it is! I really am not doing anything that takes effort, how amazing is that. It is like it is to good to be true!!

I figure the naysayers will be speechless when I reach my goal size! Of course then they will be waiting for me to gain it back again. But all I can say is, "not happening this time, wait as long as you want".

Can not even imagine what a size 12 would feel like, but I am sure anxious to find out!!!!

  3. I have a friend who felt this program isn't sustainable, but for me it is. I'm not worried about those who don't understand this program. My doctor is happy with what I'm doing. When I visited my friends in California last year and friends asked what diet I'm on (after I said I don't eat this or that), I told them if I look any different this year to ask what I did. Today, I feel the less said the better. I've seen the look on people's faces when I said hypnosis, etc., but I can't wait to see the look on their faces in a few years when they see I not only took the weight off, but kept it off!

Karen and Linda - you are inspirations!

That's GREAT Linda!! Good for you! I feel really stuck!!! I don't have much more to go..just a size or a half of a size but it gets a little discouraging...I did go off the program for 2 weeks at Christmas and had a refresher on January 2nd and have been faithful since then...I work out 6 days a week and I am training for a half Marathon which is in 2 weeks...I thought I may have dropped a little but not so much! I just want this phase to be done!I am ready for a potato!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)Thank you for your comments and creating this blog!!!!!!!

  5. It's wonderful that you're one size (or less) from your goal size. It sounds like you're doing all the right things, so be gentle to yourself. I haven't been where you are, but I imagine weight loss slows down when your body gets closer to it's ideal size. Focus more on your upcoming half marathon and how great that accomplishment will feel.

Let us know how you do in the half marathon.

I'm still waiting for my appointment. Just curious however. Since that last post says she's waiting for a potato, do you eventually get to eat bread and potatoes and fruits again? I only know about the eating program from things I've read here and would love to know the whole story. When I get to see Julie does she give you handouts about the various things you can eat? It seems like there's a lot of things that people say they forgot about. Are you allowed to take notes? If no handouts, I'm sure there must be a lot of questions since this program sounds very different from the "conventional" diets. Also, someone said this is not the Atkins diet, however, if you are eating a lot of protein it has it's foundation in Atkins. Don't mean to ask so many questions, but it looks like I won't get to see Julie until March or later and I'm dying to get started. Any help is appreciated.

  7. I know that a potatoe is the first thing that you re-introduce. From then on, I don't know what they do. I don't listen to that part as I am not ready for it and I don't want all that info to get me confused.

You do not get handouts and you can not take notes especially during the meeting!!! For me, I know that I don't need to remember every little teeny tiny detail. As long as I follow her few simple rules it will work and it is working.

If you haven't been on Julie's website, check it out. http://thekeyhypnosis.com/ in her interviews on the site you will get a bit more information about what the meetings are like. She did tell us we can share this plan with anyone. She did 'research' on all this information from a young child up. There is no Atkins involved at all. This is from her own learning which is quite involved.

At your first 3 meetings you can not talk or make any noise while she is talking. You have to maintain eye contact with her the whole time. The 3 hours fly by and you can not even begin to remember what she talked about. YOu must watch her, if you don't, you will loose a big portion of her program.

As I am going along on the program I do remember things and as I tell people about it I remember things. I figure I remember what I need and I just go with that.

Trust me, when you go, it will be so worth the wait!!!
