There are a few ways for you to engage, which I've described here with detailed instructions below for each option.
  • Post a comment to blog posts.
  • Sign up to receive new posts via email.
  • Become a follower - so you can post comments to blog entries as an individual rather than as "anonymous."
  • Become a contributor - so you can share your story and photos.
  • Share your story and photos - without becoming a contributor.
  • Silence is golden - you don't have to do any of the above - simply read without engaging.
Post a Comment

This feature is below each post.
You may post a comment to blog posts even if you are not a member of this blog; your name and email will not appear with your comment if you are not a member, "Anonymous" will appear instead of your name or email.

Beneath each blog post you will see the option to "Post a Comment" and then there's a text field for your comment. If you leave an anonymous comment, it will not link back to your blogs, Blogger profile, or Google profile in any way.

Write your comment in the text field, select Anonymous from the "Comment as" menu, and then select "Publish."

All comments are moderated by me before they appear on the website.

  1. NEWBIE and NERVOUS Its my 3rd complete day of week 1 and i feel different. I am scared, nervous and happy and excited all at once. Can I finally do this? Is this what I needed all along? I have read almost the entire blog and am incredibly inspired by all the genuine comments. I need help with a couple of things. In the past I have always been extremely hard on my self. never swaying and never tasting or cheating. Then I would fall and not get back on track for years. Vicious cycle. Some of what I read here goes either way, cheat and get back on, don't cheat and stay on. I don't want to cheat. Will my age, 56, hold me back? I am lazy and don't like to exercise. Although I do swim, walk and garden a little bit. I have an elliptical and need to motivate myself to get on it. will that come with weight loss? I am excited to go back to my 2nd session and greatly appreciate all your advice and wisdom. :)

  2. Congratulations Ann on your new weight loss journey. Scared, nervous, happy, and excited, all sound exactly like how many of us felt our first week on this program.

This program is different from anything you've done before. The ideal way to approach it is: once and done. Give 100% to the process, see it through, reach you goal, learn how to stay there, and then this way of life will be natural enough you won't need to give it much thought - do it one time and be done with dieting.

There are many who have success with this program who are much older, so no your age isn't an issue.

Julie helps with the exercise every time you see her, even if she doesn't mention this. I took 8 months to begin to exercise and 2 months later ran a 5k. But not everyone is going to take up running. That works for me.

If you want to live a long healthy life, exercise in some form should become a part of your life. When you start and what form is up to you. Exercise does help you lose weight, but it also helps you feel better and have more energy.

Meanwhile, be gentle on yourself and be proud that you've taken a big step to change your life.

Hi I just went to the doctor and told him not to tell me the weight -- HE DID; I heard the number -- which I was shocked; so I asked him I just want to know if I am under XXX he said no and give me the number .... I called for a refresher ??? what should I do? I am so upset!

  4. You didn't intentionally find out the numbers (which I appreciate you didn't share here), so you're ok.

Forget the numbers. You were right not to say what they were - keep it this way. Telling someone else keeps the number alive in your mind. Tap the numbers away.

You don't have to go to a refresh for this reason alone. If you have other reasons for going, then do so by all means, but since this knowledge wasn't something you sought out, you'll be fines.

Center yourself. Refocus. Visualize where you want to go and what you want to look like. Let the numbers drop from your mind like pennies falling from your pocket to the ground.

    Cha Ching. They're gone.
