Non Scale Victory!!!

I went shopping yesterday as I needed to get some stuff for our vacation that is coming up.

One thing I desperately needed was a new bra.

There is a store at every mall I avoid like the plague!!! I hated walking by this store! My husband would try not to let me see him looking at this store, and I would cringe every time I would see the sign.

Do you know what store would make a fat lady just want to curl up and die?

Victoria's Secrets!

I keep hearing about how they fit you for bras and their bras are so good and so on and so forth. Would never listen because no fat lady in her right mind would ever walk in there!!

Well, yesterday my friend convinced me to go in and get measured. She has told me over and over that I would more than likely fit into one of their bras. Again, my mind is saying "now way!"

Well, the next thing I know, I am in their store yesterday getting fitted for a bra!

Guess what?

I walked out of that store with one of those little pink bags announcing to the world that I had bought something at Victoria's Secrets!

Now granted, I will never never be able to wear any of their other items, no way, but I fit into their bras!

How great is that!

I proudly swung that bag as we walked through the mall!

And then, you know what?

I got two, YUP two bathing suits!

Absolutely unheard of in my past!

Especially liking them!

WHO IS THIS PERSON walking around saying they are? ME!

But that is another blog post (with NO pictures)! LOL.

    1. Thank you Adrienne!! You will know when you are ready, it really took alot of convincing and I was scared, but at the same time I was ready, I kind of knew deep inside I would fit, but it is that inner battle of doubt.

Keep on the program and we will all get there!!!

    1. I don't think sexy is quite the word I would use! LOL! More like a human 55 year old woman with wrinkly extra skin that can be contained in a smaller item!!! LOL!!!!

  4. Congratulations Linda! I know exactly how you feel with this victory. I used to say "the only thing that fits me in Victoria Secret's is their umbrellas!"

I used to wonder why anyone would carry a pink bag around at the mall that so loudly said I have unmentionables from Victoria Secret. I always thought if I bought anything there I'd put the pink bag in another bag to hide it. I couldn't imagine walking in public with a pink bag. That was until I had my own little pink bag to strut!

Last year I went in Victoria Secret's determined not to leave until I had a great fitting bra. I tried on every one they put in the trays and then made my decision. I strutted my pink bag through the mall.

This is another one of those areas where this program has changed our way of thinking and seeing things.

This year I looked through photos I could use for "before" and "after" pictures to post on the blog. One of the things that stood out to me was how badly in need of a bra I was. I couldn't believe I traveled all over Europe (and in my own home town) looking like that. OMG! I didn't see this until I had my new Victoria Secret bras.

It's great having the girls back on the top shelf where they belong!

Your "before" and "after" photos will really make you proud now!

    Thanks for sharing this Linda!
