Help with Bad Decision

This comment was posted by Anonymous in response to the Sweets posting. I am publishing this to bring it to the top page so they can get some support and suggestions from us:
I had been on this program for 4+ months and about 5lbs to my goal and I'm not as strong as you I have had ice cream twice in two days! (I'm very ashamed) the second time it made me very sick for hours.

Any suggestions on how I should move forward from my Bad decision?

  1. Today is a new day! I've been on the program since July '11. I too am not as strong as some others. That said, I'm in my goal size and I've been here for awhile. In fact, I just this morning tried on a size smaller and they fit better than they did a few weeks ago!

That said-start fresh. Today. Now. Go right back to meats and vegetables. You know what you have to do. You are thisclose to your goal. You can achieve it! No one is perfect! Some of us may come across some peaks and valleys during this process-and that's ok. We are all different, we deal with things differently, etc. Go three straight days of meats and veggies and you should be golden. You may even drop those few last lbs! Good luck!

I completely agree with Meaghan. We will all have our moment where temptation will happen & we might make the choice to have that food we shouldn't, however, the important thing to remember is that you are human and every choice isn't guaranteed to be the right one.

With that said, if you didn't care about the progress that you've made or didn't want to continue & get back on track you wouldn't have mentioned it to us so that tells me that you want to correct it. As Meaghan said, go back to week one eating with meats & veggies & you will be right back on track.

Remember how much dedication & commitment you've given to Julie's program & go from there. This can be turned around as a positive, you said the ice cream made you sick... So now you know how our old way of eating ( I used to eat a Half gallon every other night) will affect your body so you wouldn't want to relive that again :)

You only have 5 more pounds to go, you've got this! You never know, this one bad decision might be the thing that even helps you get to that goal quicker now! I've tried to remember Julie's advise when you want that one thing that we can't have , tell yourself, I've had that before, I know what it tastes like & move on.

Good luck & keep us posted!! I look at each day like its a "Stepping' Stone! "

      Each day represents one
Step lighter to a happier & healthier you!

  2. Does anyone have a way to tone up extremely flabby arms? Not to be indelicate, but I've lost quite a lot on this program, am in my 60's and my arms are now just hanging and very very wrinkled. I know I'm better off healthwise by not having that extra fat, however, parts of my body (arms and upper thighs are now hedious). Being older and always having "hugh" arms to beging with did not help the matter, but I would like to think that there is some relief. I don't have the inclination or the money for any kind of surgery. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
